Spent a week here on a recent trip to Oahu. The staff are great and have some great recommendations for things to do outside Waikiki while exploring the Island. We took an upgraded king room and I am glad we did because that room felt normal hotel size, I think my opinion of the place would be different if we stayed with our regular queen room. With that said, the building was renovated to be this hotel and the bright colors create a chic place that lends itself to a younger demographic. So if you book here, and you are old, that means audible conversation, music and marijuana smoke. The pool was on the roof, very small for a hotel pool, well maintained really nice to be in once the sun started setting. valet, these guys try really hard and are battling a small lot, big car sizes and traffic. Please be kind to them and plan your scheduled activities accordingly. Things that prevented a five star review: -the hotel restaurant, or the restaurant it shared a space with that was only partnered etc. was pretty mid. The coupons offered were for five dollars off, not applicable to alcohol and every dish costed north of 25 dollars and looked unappealing. -only one elevator was active -the ac only has two settings, off and really really cold. -the tv was crappy, poorly placed and had bad channels.

Shoreline is definitely a special boutique hotel with all the thoughtful details and service. For example, we kept the "no bodda" (do not disturb) sign on the door the whole time, and every day, the cleaning crew slipped a little note asking if we were ok and to contact them for cleaning if we changed our mind. That's never happened to us before at a hotel. It shows care! Shoreline had a complimentary snack box with local products in the room. I thought this was very special. That never happens at a chain hotel either. Other hotels charge for any food in the room. Again, it's the little details like this that make you feel like this boutique hotel cares. One more thing that made our life easier: filtered water dispenser behind the lobby. It even had fruit-flavored water if you preferred that. On other trips, I am always buying water to drink. At Shoreline, I was just filling up my water bottle every day and saving money. The location is fantastic because it is quite literally at the midpoint of Kalakaua (the major waterfront street in Waikiki). Half a block from the ocean. There is no need to rent a car if you stay here and plan to do most of the activities in and near Waikiki. However, if you decide to rent a car, there is valet parking on the premises or you can look for street parking in the area. The room was immaculately and of a good size. We could see the ocean from our room. The elevators were fast so we never had to wait for one for long. The design of the room was cheerful and super cute. All the little details in the room made it special. It had local sayings and the Hawaiian islands above the bed. Cool art in the hotel in general. The owner has great taste in art. The lobby has super high ceilings so it felt really airy and nice in there. They offer complimentary coffee in the morning. Lastly, great staff. They always say hi. I would definitely recommend this bouquet hotel to all my friends and family coming to stay in Waikiki.

This hotel is nice. I gave it 4 stars because you have to walk 2 flights of stairs to go to the pool. I have a bad leg so it was difficult to enjoy the pool. The room was great! I loved how I could swivel the tv to watch something in bed as I was decompressing from a long day out. The staff was great.
